Welcome Back to School!
AR Bulletin Board
Library Card Pouches and Knight Club Topics
Each month we will set a class goal and whoever makes that goal will get their name on a soccer ball.
This is the common board configuration (CBC) that will list daily objectives and essential questions. Along the bottom is vocabulary for the units we are studying.
Also part of the CBC, this is where daily homework is written and I will write down classwork as assigned that day in class.
BINGO.....this is where students can fill in a square for good behavior and/or completed homework and on Fridays I will pull out names and they can earn candy and sometimes even homework passes.

Question/Concept Board
One of my students, Jake, gave this to me for the classroom.
Do you still live in MI? I live in Viera and happened across your blog. Small world.

DeleteThanks for sharing my fellow UCF Knight! Cute ideas!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteI LOVE your CBC board! I teach in a class with all ELL students, so the vocabulary clipboards would be a great addition to my objective board. Thanks for sharing!

The vocab is a great addition to the CBC and they are very easy to change out.
DeleteHello, I've been struggling with how to track my students' AR progress. How do you use the chart?
ReplyDeleteWhat does CBC stand for?
Thanks in advance for answering~<3 Christina

I actually track AR a couple ways. I pull the AR report once a week and as kids earn points their name goes on the trophy (10 points, 20 points, etc). For every 20 points I give them a homework pass. I also have a 100 point club. They give themselves a sticker for every 100 hundred they receive and once they get 10 100's, they get a treat. CBC stands for common board configuration. We have to list the learning goal for each lesson on these boards. Hope that helps.
DeleteHello!!
ReplyDeleteI was curious if you still had the template for your homework and objective boards? I was wondering if you have the cards with the subjects on them and the signs that say homework and classwork, etc. If you do and you don't mind sharing them I would love if you could e-mail it to me
kelsey.deavers@yahoo.com
I have to give credit to Mrs. Luepann, one of my fellow co workers for these templates. She made them and sent them to me. I do not still have them as I just printed and laminated them. I know she gets a lot of stuff from thistle girl so you may want to check there.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get your classroom reward bingo poster?? Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love your CBC boards and the vocabulary clip boards, Great ideas. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love your common board configuration. I would like to try it for the upcoming year! It is much simpler than what I have used in the past. I was wondering if you have the files saved with the labels (i.e., Language Arts, Reading, What We will Learn Today, etc). I like the fonts and clip art you used. If you don't mind sharing the files that would save me a lot of time! My email address is angela.korniotes@ocps.net. And please let me know if there's anything I could share with you!!
Best wishes on the upcoming year!
Where did you get the labels for your objective board?
ReplyDeleteI have the same request as the person before me. Please send them to me too. :) supatwin@aol.com
ReplyDeleteHello all,
ReplyDeleteMrs. LuePann made the common board titles. She is going to send me a link or post a link here very soon as to how to find them. Thanks for visiting.
Curious about the black dividers on the CBC board and homework board. I've looked everywhere for black painters tape without luck. What did you use that won't stick terribly and leave a sticky texture after peeling off?
ReplyDeleteI use electrical tape.
DeleteWhere did you get the black thin duct tape?
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Where did you get the signs for your objectives? Also, what did you use to divide the sections? Thanks!
ReplyDeletemeredith.whaley@knoxschools.org
Love the CBC stuff! For the vocabulary piece did you just put the headings on construction paper, laminate it then attach the page protectors? Or is it something completely different?
ReplyDeleteI also love the signs for your objectives and I read in previous posts that you were going to link them on your website. Have you done that yet?? Am I missing it?? Thanks!

The divider on the CBC board looks like black electrical tape to me. If not, it would work great!
ReplyDeleteHello I love your CBC board! Where can I purchase the templates?
