Class Tour 2012

Students love to walk in with a little humor.

I found these on Pinterest and loved the way they got kids engaged in accountable talk and learning.

My CBC this year since these are the subjects I will be teaching.

I plan on adding pictures from labs and foldables here.

I hang this outside if everyone has done their homework.

Putting the kids pictures under their birthday month.

Meet the teacher goodie bags.

Water bottle coasters

  1. Hi Mrs. Blas,

I am currently a senior at the University of Florida studying Elementary Education. I came across your blog through Pinterest. I have really loved looking through all of your posts and seeing all of the creative things you are doing in your classroom. For one of my courses this semester, I am gathering research about different ways that teachers are using blogs for education purposes. If you wouldn't mind answering a couple of questions that I can add to my data collection, I would really appreciate it. You can email them to me at acrowson@ufl.edu. Thanks!

    Questions:
    1. Why did you create your blog?
    2. What do you feel are the benefits of blogging as a teacher?
    3. What do other teachers think of your blog?
    4. Do the parents of your students visit your blog?
    5. How much time do you have to spend to keep your blog up to date?

Thank you so much for your time!

    Sincerely,
    Allison Crowson

  2. I just moved to 5th grade mid year from 2nd grade. I've been trying to organize this new class and give it a cool, yet cute on a 5th grade level touch. I love your ideas. I must incorporate the highlighter on the name. They always forget. I hope to post my class by the end. I pray that my Cps school doesn't close. My group is making me really enjoy teaching again. I love this group they are challenging with their personalities they have so much potential academically. Keep up the good work, you have inspired me. 19 years of teaching and all of the new initiatives make me feel so brand new. Thanks again
